Military Pilot Requirements to Gain PPL

Lyneham Flying Club can carry out all of the flying training and testing requirements to qualify a Combat Ready Qualified Service pilot (Aeroplanes) CR QSP(A) in current flying practice.

This requires approx 1.5 hours of refresher training on single engine piston (£142.50), 3 exams (Air Law, Comms and Human performance and limitations) (£20) and a flight test (excluding the navigation element) (£175).  You will also be required to hold a JAA class 1 (commercial) or JAA class 2 (non-commercial) medical certificate and join the RAF Lyneham flying club. Click Here for a cost breakdown.

It is recommended that a QSP carries out some refresher training in a single engine piston aircraft prior to taking the test as indicated above.  The elements a QSP will be tested on are listed here.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE A CURRENT CLASS 1 OR CLASS 2 MEDICAL CERTIFICATE.
