Welcome to the RAF Lyneham Flying Club, its aim is to provide good value flying and is available to all regular and reserve military servicemen, servicewomen, their dependants and some MOD civilians.  There are also opportunities for civilian membership.

RAF Lyneham Flying Club was set-up in 2003 by some keen personnel serving at Lyneham.  It started as a small club with just one aircraft and limited amount of time available from an instructor.  Since then it has grown steadily and now has approximately 90 members, 6 part-time PPL instructors and 2 part-time Class rating instructors.

The club operates 2 Piper PA28 Warriors and a Slingsby Firefly T67B from RAF Lyneham with near 24 hour per day 7 day per week availability.

RAF Lyneham Flying Club near Chippenham, Swindon, Bath and Bristol is a member of RAFFCA (the Royal Air Force Flying Clubs Association).  The club offers flying instruction and aircraft hire at reasonable rates ( some might say cheap flying ) to members of the armed forces and related civilians. Although we offer low cost flying lessons the quality of the club cannot be considered cheap, the aircraft are of good quality and the instruction is of a high standard.  The RAF Lyneham Flying Club near Chippenham, Swindon, Bath and Bristol only operates Piper Warrior aircraft and all flying lessons are carried out on the Piper Warrior.
Lyneham Flying Club is one of many RAF Flying Clubs whose aim is to offer lost cost flying instruction / flying lessons to members of the armed forces.  As RAF Flying Clubs go Lyneham Flying Club has amongst the lowest prices.
