Welcome to Lyneham Flying Club

located at Cotswold Airport (Kemble) - 0330 1137 716

Lyneham Flying Club (LFC) is a registered charity (Charity number: 1189125). It aims to allow HM Forces personnel, along with a limited number of civilian Members and others deemed eligible for Membership, an opportunity to obtain flying instruction and recreational flying in light aircraft as economically as possible. LFC is open to all ranks, and provides a chance to acquire flying skills whilst developing airmanship and promoting an interest in flying.

As part of its charitable work the club administers four flying scholarships for service personnel. One is funded by LFC and three are generously funded by the Swire Charitable Trust.

Although not a full member, LFC is affiliated to RAF Sport Aircraft (RAFSA) and maintains close links to share best practice and safety information.

Lyneham Flying Club was established in 2003 at RAF Lyneham. It is now a well established club with over 100 members. Since the closure of RAF Lyneham airfield the club has moved its base to Cotswold Airport (Kemble). As a not for profit charity, we have no employees and everything is administered by volunteers.

We can provide training for PPL, LAPL, IR(R)/IMC, QMP to PPL, Ground Exams, AOPA Basic & Standard Aeros, Formation Flying and Complex Aircraft. All delivered by experienced and passionate instructors; we are also an accredited ELCAS provider meaning a PPL has never been easier to achieve.
